'Thomas L' There once was a man named Thomas L And he condemned me to a life of hell. His lyrics ring just like a bell Inside my noggin. His rivals used to say quite a bit that, as a singer, he was most unfit, but Through it all, his songs, they just won't quit Inside my noggin. Now Gilbert and Sullivan were quite a team, Their satire (in its day it) made quite a scene, but Major General's replaced by one that's much more keen Inside my noggin. Trephining's not in fashion anymore. As a surgical procedure, it is just a bore. Make a hole in my head that I hadn't heretofore Inside my noggin! So grab your bit and grab your brace, Aim its point just above my face Tom's songs still play! I can't stand it anymore! Get 'em out of my noggin! |

The rambling song I always will remember, When I became the member, of my own Community! What a fab opportunity I rambled on for ages and never with an error, About Pigeons, Hunting squirrels, and Tom Lehrer. I had no time for TV, I got down my trusty LP, From my mother's dusty loft, Oh how much I coughed... I rambled on for ages and never with an error, About tangos, Armagedon, and Tom Lehrer. Oh, the music was amazing, with the intelligent phrasing, A model of true art, you must agree. The rhymes were just so clever! I find I'll smile whenever, I hear those wit filled songs. Guarantee! People ask me, "How's he do it?" And I say, "You must admit it, There isn't and never be, A wit as sharp as he." So, I rambled on for ages and never with an error, About Boy scouts, Ancient incest, and the wit that was, Tom Lehrer! |

That old Tom
Lehrer When the shades of night are falling, Comes a fellow nobody knows It's that old Tom Lehrer Spreading satire wherever he goes. In the evenings, you will find him, All around your neighborhood On LPs of old Tom Lehrer With discontent for the public good. He gives the kids M-P-3's Because he takes the dare That today's young, innocent faces Will be tomorrow's Molière Tom's the light to all your troubles Tom's the lamp to all distress Tom is that old satirist With his re-cor-ded un-ha-ha-a-py-ness. |
